In any industry, an annual trade show is the place where manufacturers introduce new products to the market, often with great excitement and fanfare. At KBIS 2019, held in Las Vegas in February, the kitchen and bath industry had its turn to shower attendees with new designs, technologies and colors. Here’s a brief look at two new bathroom faucet and fixture collections. We’ll share more new products in a future post.
Moen
A lot of people today are saying that life should be about experiences rather than things and, according to Moen, today’s homeowners have an increasing desire to transform their living space into just that – an experience. With this in mind, the company introduced Doux – pronounced dü – that it says was inspired by the emerging soft modern design trend and a subtle nod to Scandinavian design, organic forms and soft curves. The “D”-shaped spout was crafted to present the water in a flat, thin silky ribbon to continue the clean lines of the faucet’s smooth, wide form. Doux is available in Chrome, Lifeshine Brushed Nickel and Matte Black finishes.
The collection features some Moen innovations, including:
Moen’s Posi-Temp pressure-balancing valves adjust automatically to changes in water line pressure – ensuring constant and comfortable water temperatures.
ExactTemp valves create a customized shower for each individual. Users dial in the desired temperature of a shower so the ideal temperature is reached day after day. The duration of sudden, unwanted hot or cold water temperature changes.
The M•PACT valve design allows for a quick faucet change without replacing plumbing.
Immersion Technology is Moen’s self-pressurizing showerhead system that channels water into a circular pattern for consistent, substantial water pressure.
Brizo
Brizo Kitchen & Bath Company introduced new collections that it says were inspired by classic machinery and 20th century aesthetics.
According to the company, a new bath collection offers configurations and styles that provide consumers with even more choices for customization.
The Brizo Invari Bath Collection was designed to blend Edwardian and Machine Age design influences. A full, customizable bath suite, the collection includes multiple lavatory and tub faucet configurations, as well as custom shower trims and components, all complemented by coordinated accessories and hardware. Three spout architectures—Arc, Column and Angled—pair with Lever, Cross and Black Crystal Knob handle options to provide design versatility, while a new slide bar shower arm allows for up to 12” of adjustability. Invari is available in the new Brilliance Polished Gold finish and is also available in BrillianceLuxe Nickel, Brilliance Luxe Gold, Brilliance Luxe Steel™ and Polished Chrome finishes. The collection will be available in fall 2019.
Of course, this is just a very small sample of what’s available today or coming soon in bathroom fixtures and technologies. The Dresser Hull Kitchen and Bath design team will be happy to help you find just the right collection from these and other manufacturers for your new bathroom!
