Color, Technology and Tranquility for Modern Bathroom Design

It should come as no surprise that connectivity has come to the bathroom, with voice-activated products bringing a new dimension to the morning grooming routine, and water flow activating lights in the shower. In our last post, we started a report about new products introduced at the kitchen and bath show – KBIS 2019 – held in February in Las Vegas. Here’s a brief look at a few more products making their way into bathroom makeovers.

Kohler

Understanding a growing desire for more color within the home setting, Kohler introduced the Shadows Collection for enameled cast iron products. Comprising three vibrant hues, including Lavender Grey, Indigo Blue and Black Plum, the Shadows collection can work in any kitchen or bathroom.

On the technology side, in 2019, Kohler announced the next iteration of the Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror, with Google Assistant built-in. The Verdera Voice features a high-quality grooming mirror, adjustable LED lights for routines including makeup application and skin care, a motion-activated nightlight, and hermetically sealed speakers – all built-in to help reduce clutter and optimize the user experience. Both the Verdera Voice with Amazon Alexa and Verdera Voice powered by Google Assistant promise seamless integration of voice control into the bathroom space.

Delta

Delta also introduced several new collections and technologies at the show in February.

The Dorval Bath Collection showcases regal accents designed to strike a balance between traditional and industrial design. The collection features cross handles, a monoblock design and historically non-traditional finish options. The collection also features a widespread faucet with DIAMOND Seal Technology, promising leak-free operation for the life of the faucet.

Inspired by the consumer desire for a more tranquil shower experience, the Delta Pendant Raincan Shower Head with H2Okinetic Technology and LED lighting was designed to create a soothing ambience in the bathroom. Available in a contemporary style, as well as a new traditional style, the pendant showerhead establishes a distinct presence with modern technology to evoke a spa-like experience. The Pendant Raincan Shower Head features water-powered LED lights, which automatically turn on when water is running and off when water flow stops. The shower’s accent lights emit a subtle glow.
